Lekha Dodi – Shabbat Candle Lighting Prayer Art Print
Lekha Dodi is a Shabbat candle lighting prayer art print combining Hebrew prayer text with musical instruments and the words of the beloved Shabbat song. Gold-leaf lettering is added by hand, creating a warm, luminous detail in the composition.
Art Inspired by the Shabbat Candle Lighting Tradition
Created to be displayed near the Shabbat candles, the artwork highlights the Yehi Ratzon prayer that many families recite after candle lighting. The music-inspired illustrations celebrate the welcome of Shabbat and make this piece a meaningful Judaica gift for weddings, Bat Mitzvahs and new homes.
From Original Watercolor to Fine Art Print
I first paint the design in watercolor before having it professionally scanned and reproduced on high-quality fine art paper. The gold-leaf details are applied by hand after printing.
