Covering your hair every day is not always simple. You want something that feels right, looks good, and is easy to wear.
That’s exactly why I started creating my turbans. I needed something quick to put on before leaving the house, without having to spend time adjusting a scarf.
Today, I offer two main types of turbans: silk turbans and structured turbans.
Choosing the Right Head covering for Your Daily Life
When I design my turbans, I always think about real daily life.
Some days, you just need something fast and easy. Other times, you might want something a bit more put together, for example for Shabbat or when going out.
That’s why I created different styles, so you can choose what works best depending on your day.
Silk Turbans: Light, Easy, and Effortless
My silk turbans are designed to be as easy as possible to wear.
They have an elastic back, so you can just slip them on in a few seconds. The silk is soft and lightweight, which makes them very comfortable for everyday use.
This style is often chosen by women who don’t necessarily want full coverage, but still want something on their head that feels natural and effortless.
Structured Turbans: More Coverage, More Flexibility
My structured turbans are quite different.
I make them using denim or cotton, and they are designed to give more coverage. You can wear them fully closed, or leave them slightly open depending on your preference.
Even though they are more structured, I make sure they stay comfortable. Some are lined with silk, and others with soft cotton, so they remain light while still holding their shape.
They’re a good option when you want more coverage, or simply a different look.
Tzniut, Marriage, and Personal Choice
Head covering is connected to tzniut and often begins after marriage. At the same time, every woman approaches it differently. Some prefer full coverage, while others feel more comfortable starting with partial coverage. There isn’t one single way to do it.
That’s also why I created both types of turbans, so each woman can find something that fits where she is, without feeling forced into one style.
What Makes My Turbans Different
Each turban I make is painted by hand, so no two pieces are exactly the same.
I also pay a lot of attention to the inside. I use fabrics I already have in the studio, including hand-painted silk leftovers and unused scarves, to create the lining.
It makes the turbans more comfortable, but also gives a second life to beautiful materials. And in the end, each piece is unique, inside and out.
At the end of the day, it’s about finding what works for you.
Something you feel comfortable wearing, something that fits your routine, and something that feels natural.
