Tichels by Avigael Creation: Wearable Works of Art

The headscarf is my iconic product, and the one with which I began my project.

After 4 years of studying styling, modelling and fashion marketing, I flew to Israel where I launched my personal career.

I decided to use my creativity for the benefit of women. A scarf is a genuine jewel for a woman and it should highlight the beauty and the interiority of its wearer. Therefore, it must reflect her and be one of a kind. This is the challenge AVIGAEL engages in, offering you scarves made from 100% silk (or cotton), which are designed by hand and display unique prints.

I create masterpiece scarves, brimming with bold colors and eye-catching prints for a very unique and original result!

Each scarf is signed as it is a work of art.

I have designed the majority of the scarves to wear as tichels, namely, to cover the hair and to adorn the head.

When designing the scarves, I consider the type of occasion for which I am creating them and the outfits they would go with. In addition, my creations are determined by price. This is affected by the quality of the material (there are different types of silk), the time spent creating the scarves and the complexity of the designs.

These scarves address the needs of the Jewish community in particular, whose married women have the tradition to cover their hair with a tichel. Nevertheless, they can be worn however you wish. Whether for everyday use or for a special occasion, it is up to you how to wear your silk scarf to suit your own desires.

Tie it around your head, your neck or even your bag!

I additionally offer two types of turbans for head covering.

The first- the tichel headband- covers half of the hair. It is made of silk, is hand-painted and has an elastic band at the back.

The second turban is tied with a piece of Velcro at the back and can be used as a half head covering or as a whole one, by folding down the parts on the top of the head. These are pre-tied.

Taking care of your scarf:

The scarf can only be hand-washed, with cold water (you can add a few drops of detergent). Do not spin. Gently dab the scarf with a towel and lay it to dry.

You can iron it with your iron on “silk” mode.
